Dr. Joyce Lee is the Robert P. Kelch, MD, Research Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Michigan Medical School and School of Public Health. She has dual training in Pediatric Endocrinology and Pediatric Health Services Research. Her research focuses on the overarching themes of obesity and type 1 and type 2 diabetes and uses a variety of methodologies, including applied clinical research, epidemiology, modeling, and cost-effectiveness analysis, as well as participatory design, quality improvement science, and use of social media. She has 85 peer-reviewed publications and has been the recipient of multiple NIH grants focused on childhood obesity, and diabetes.
