Ms. Connie Chang helped form, launch and now leads the Fast Forward Medical Innovation (FFMI) team, a unit of the University of Michigan Medical School’s Office of Research. FFMI helps biomedical faculty and clinician researchers, trainees and students across U-M campus and statewide, providing innovation, commercialization and entrepreneurial support via industry partnerships, education, mentoring and funding services. Innovations span all biomedical verticals across the realms of therapeutics, diagnostics, devices, and healthcare IT. Ms. Chang joined the University of Michigan in 2009 after a 15-year career in business in Boston and New York, including 12 years in the pharmaceuticals industry where she worked in the commercial business functions of marketing and sales as well as consulting.
