The Collaboratory for Disability Health (CDH) Mission Statement
Our mission is to address existing inequities for individuals with different types of disabilities through clinical, research, and educational strategies.
All people regardless of their type of disability will have full access to health care along with a quality of life similar to those of people without disabilities.
Disability health and their best practices will comprise a significant portion of health professional education and training programs to ensure a health care workforce that can effectively care for individuals with disabilities. Psychological, social and environmental factors that lead to disparities in health access and outcomes will be identified and innovative interventions developed in partnership with wit disability organizations, policy experts, legislators, community services and individuals with disabilities to ensure adequate disability representation and input in health care and research efforts.
